Seu carinho pelos Bonsais e seus cuidados na preservação da saúde deles podem ser notados no texto a seguir: An Admonition: Bonsai should be watched with constant affection. Bonsai is the art of planting a tree in a container, and growing it as a healthy plant by giving it enough care so as to be able to enjoy a miniature replica of graceful natural scenery. So it is important to watch over one´s bonsai with unfailing affection. Any person who wishes to grow bonsai should spare at least ten to twenty minutes every day, either in the morning or the evening. Without such effort, successful growing can be hardly expected. And if one has a true affection for his bonsai, he cannot fail to take notice of drying of the soil in the container, the condiciton of the buds, color of leaves and growth of the new shoots (which determines the amount of fertilizer to be given), the infestation by insects or disease, condition of the flowers and fruit, withering of the leaves, decay of the roots, etc. Upon finding defects, countermeasures must immediately be taken.
